McCallum – Joan Margaret (née McQualter)

Dear Joan, I am so sad that you had to leave your family. However, it’s such a blessing that you are no longer suffering and, you are with Laurie again. 68 years is an amazing tribute, worth and, acknowledgement of a marriage! You survived the ups and downs together and, you follow Laurie, a mere three months since he passed. You certainly meant it when you used to say – “I’ll be right behind you” – when the subject of Laurie’s passing was mentioned, even in a light hearted way which was, mostly the case way back when. I have many memories of you which go way back of course. My memories relate back to when I was not quite 8 years of age and, we shared a bedroom. Of course, we had many years living our lives, me in different states and, a different country but, always, when we met again, it was like yesterday. I am so glad I had 9 years in Wangaratta again and, we did so much together. Rest in peace dear Joan. I will never forget you. 🙏😢🥰🩷
